After a Tylenol PM induced, crooked-neck sleep, on the cold concrete floors of the airport, I awoke to a delayed flight. The delay was obviously because of the snow storm and I quickly feared we wouldn’t depart on this day at all. Our next destination was in Newark, NJ. Our plan previously was to schedule a 7 hour layover to see New York City. The layover was perfect means for a total backfire. Now we would be stuck in Newark for 5 hours, with no chance to make it into the city. We arrived in Newark after our 2 hour delay to meet the freezing rain instead of snow. I figured I would go to sleep again to test the possibility of permanent neck damage due to poor sleeping conditions. The 4 hour test turned out negative… you can not obtain permanent neck damage from any slumbering position. I awoke feeling confused and headed to the plane, which was now ready to depart.
